SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Harolyn Castillo Monday scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 47-40 win over Pope Francis.

 

Dezerea Powell scored 13 points and passed out four assists for the Generals, who were without two of their regular players.

 

Asia Smith-Moody hit a 3-pointer and scored five points in the first quarter, when Pittsfield jumped out to an 18-8 lead.

 

The Generals finish the regular season 17-1 and wait to learn who they will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
