BELCHERTOWN, Mass. – Chloe Laroche scored 15 points Friday to lead the Belchertown girls basketball team to a 44-34 win over Monument Mountain in the Spartans’ season opener.

Polly Geddes scored 17 points to lead Monument Mountain.

The Spartans (0-1) go to Pope Francis on Tuesday.
