Connecticut, 5:30 pm

The Hotchkiss Chorus presents “A Musical Aviary: Visions of Birds from Four Centuries” at the Norfolk Library at 9 Greenwoods Road East in Norfolk CT on Sunday May 19 at 5:30 p.m.  The concert features the 35-voice chorus and guest instrumentalists performing music by Brahms, Grieg, Stanford and Ravel, as well as folk, gospel and jazz works. The Hotchkiss Chorus is led by faculty member Jack Brown and is known for their outstanding annual Lessons & Carols services over the past 65 years. The musical settings examine birds in our world through centuries of poetry. Guest speakers will be Jennifer Rinehart, Hotchkiss Instructor in Environmental and Life Sciences, and Bethany Sheffer, a Sharon Audubon Society naturalist.
