Floyd E. Twing
Floyd E. Twing, 69, died Saturday at his residence at 12 Navin Heights.Born in Tyringham, on Dec. 14, 1937, son of Eugene and Grace Ondress Twing, he attended Lee schools.
He worked as a stone cutter at the William Stone Quarry in Chester for many years, retiring in 1992.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a fan of the Red Sox.
Mr. Twing is survived by his first former wife, Mable Mottarella of Lee; and his second former wife, Linda Miller of Worcester; six sons, Elliott Twing and Leon Twing, both of Lenox Dale, Colin Twing of Pittsfield, Jeffrey Twing of Cheshire, Scott Twing of Cross Roads, Texas and Eric Twing of Worcester; three brothers, Donald Twing of Clarksville, Tenn., and Wayne Twing and Ronald Twing, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Glenda Baczek and Patricia Pelkey, both of Lee; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Floyd E. Twing, who died on Saturday, July 14, 2007, will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee. Friends wishing may make memorial donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
Additional survivors include 41 nieces and nephews. Mr. Twing was predeceased by a stepson, Martin Liebenow, who died in 1985, and a sister, Esther Drumm.
