Lisa LaBonte Cooney

Lisa LaBonte Cooney, 42, of 12 Leonard St. died Saturday as the result of a motor vehicle accident in New Ashford. Born in North Adams on Aug. 19, 1964, daughter of Lois J. Monette Sweener and the late Robert J. Monette Sr., she attended schools in North Adams and Adams, including Hoosac Valley High School. She graduated from Mildred Elley School in Pittsfield in 1992 with a degree in business. Mrs. Cooney previously was employed for many years by the Williamstown Municipal Employees Credit Union. She also previously worked for Callahan Sign Co. in Pittsfield. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and enjoyed playing pool and participating in billiard tournaments. She was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She and her husband, Robert M. Cooney, were married Oct. 3, 1997. Besides her husband and mother, of Adams, she leaves a daughter, Trista LaBonte of Adams; a son, Joshua Cote of Adams; her stepfather, Lewis Sweener of Adams; a brother, Robert J. Monette Jr. of Bennington, Vt.; four sisters, Linda M. Sirois of Gardner, Diane Giroux of Rawlins, Wyo., Donna McIntosh of Cheshire and Michele Carlow of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lisa Cooney, who died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, will be Thursday at 9 from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Requiem Eucharist at 10 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. Burial will be at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Mrs. Cooney was a very loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
