My team unfortunately was just asleep for the most part. Right from the first whistle we were outplayed. I have to tip my hat to Greylock because they never stopped and never let up. They won every 50/50 ball & never backed down even when things started getting a bit chippy.
As I had stated to both the Transcript and IBerkshires.com my boys were intimidated from the time we arrived on the field. One thing I have asked of my boys since day 1 is to communicate and continue to open their lines of communication and very seldom yesterday were the simplest things communicated from as simple as, "turn" or "man on" or "you have time."
One thing I did notice Greylock does very well is to direct traffic from every player to the next. I noticed Dils does this very well asking players to go to space and pointing out the direction he would like to see the runs made and then he delivers the ball from the center midfield position and this is what I hope my players can take away. Yes we did lose and yes we lost quite badly, but the season is still young and I am excited to get another try against Greylock.
