A tough four-run first inning for senior starter Max Quinn was too much to overcome for the Drury baseball team, which fell short in its comeback attempt of a 6-5 road loss to Monument Mountain on Wednesday.

Four errors by the Drury baseball team allowed Taconic to score eight runs in the first two innings, allowing the Braves to walk away with an 8-2 road win over the Blue Devils on Sunday.

Senior Max Quinn won his second start in a row on Wednesday, holding Monument Mountain to just two unearned runs on three hits to help the Drury baseball team to a 5-2 win over the top team in Berkshire County.

Pitchers Avery Cunningham and Andrew Leitch combined to hold Drury to just four hits, while the Mounties' offense came through with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to carry the Mount Greylock baseball team to a 5-2 win at home on Monday.
