On a very cold, blustery day, the softball carried well. In all there were 7 extra base hits.
Drury started out strong, after getting the side out in order, Laryssa LaPointe had a triple to left center field. She was then driven home by Amanda Ramsdell who crushed the ball to right center field.
PHS scored once in the 2nd inning ater 2 outs Rosier reached on an outfield error and was driven home by Robinson..They then picked up 2 more runs in the 3rd on another outfiield error a base hit and an infield error.
In the 5th inning Hunt, who was 3 for 4 on the day, had a hit advanced on a hit by Raynor and both scored on a blast by Nester over the center field fence.
Amber Iacuessa led off the 6th with a triple and subsequently scored on an infield error. PHS was the benefactor of 2 more runs in the 6th.
Drury's final run was due to Laryssa reaching on an error, stealing 2 bases and scoring on a misthrow.
This was not one of Drury's best games by far; misques and failure to get timely hits put this game in the lost column.
