GRANBY, Mass. -- Haley Malloy went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the McCann Tech softball team in a 9-6 loss to Granby on Monday afternoon.

Julia Esoldi had a pair of hits and scored a pair of runs for the Hornets (3-6), who had trouble cashing in when they had runners on base.

“Unfortunately we didn't take advantage of runners on base, leaving nine,” McCann coach Robin Finnegan said. “We played well defensively against a strong hitting Granby team. We need to improve on offense and execute better.”

Megan Goyette struck out four in the circle for McCann Tech, which hosts Central on Wednesday.
