TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- McCann Tech’s Keeghan Vidal scored 11 of his game-high 25 points in the first quarter Tuesday to lead the Hornets to a 65-58 win over Franklin County Tech.
McCann Tech jumped out to a 22-13 lead after one quarter but only led 33-30 at half-time.
“We came out great but struggled to get things going in the second quarter,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “We started playing self basketball. In the third quarter, we got back to playing as a team and pulled out a tough road win.”
Vidal hit three 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Hornets rebuilt a 51-39 win going to the fourth.
Bruce Davis finished with 10 points, and Darian Tovani and Jeremy Beany added eight and seven, respectively.
McCann Tech (7-4) hosts St. Mary’s of Westfield on Friday.
