John Giorgi Basketball League Monday Update

Monday 8/6/12:

Adams Co-Op - 74
Essex Newbury North - 69

A big win for Adams Co-Op as they force a one game tie breaker against IBPO, to see who gets the fourth and final spot in the A division playoffs. Co-Op beat Essex Newbury North on Monday night, 74-67 behind Anthony Sims 23 points. Robie Burke added 18 points and nine rebounds while Chad Polver chipped in with 15 points. For Essex it was Lance Sprattling scoring a game high 25 points and Geoff Kondel followed with 16 points and also grabbed eight rebounds. The one game tie breaker will be played tonight at 8:30 pm.

Sam G - 57
Moonlight Diner - 49

Sam  G kept its playoff chances alive with a 57-49 win over Moonlight Diner. Greg Payton led the way with 25 points and five rebounds. Sam Garivaltis added 13 points. Tim Jolin led Moonlight with 16 points and Jeff Bourdon added 11. John Marlow chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Messenger Digital Dentistry / Somer Electric - 58
Champlain Masonry - 53

Nick Aitken lead Messenger to a 58-53 win over Champlain scoring 24 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Nick Bourdon netted 18 points. For Champlain Kris McLAughlin had 17 points and James Rivers had 13 points.

7:30 p.m. - Williamstown Physical Theropy (3-3) vs Elm Street Service / Pizza House (5-2)
8:30 p.m. - Tie Breaker - Adams Co-Op (3-5) vs IBPO (3-5)
