Toddler storytime and songs at the North Adams Public Library in Youth Services Department is held for ages birth to 3 years old, siblings welcome.  One to two stories are read with lots of songs and gross motor skill activities as well.

A candlelight vigil will be held to commemorate the third anniversary of the closing of North Adams Regional Hospital.  Community members are invited by the North County Cares Coalition to meet at North Adams City Hall. Participants will light candles and call for the full restoration of services at the North Adams Campus of BMC. Maynard Seider, retired professor of Sociology of MCLA, will be the featured guest speaker at the event.

Pittsfield, 7 p.m.
The Berkshire Community College (BCC) Players will hold auditions for their spring production, "Next to Normal." With book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, Next to Normal explores how one suburban family copes with crisis and mental illness. Auditions will be held in BCC's Boland Theater (K-110) in the Koussevitzky Arts Center at the college's main campus at 1350 West St. in Pittsfield. Those trying out need only attend one evening. Those auditioning will be taught selections from the show the night of audition; there is no need to prepare a song or monologue. Rehearsals begin March 31. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday, May 12, 13, 19 and 20, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 14 and 21, at 2 p.m. in the Boland Theatre at BCC.

Berkshire Community College's (BCC) South County Center is offering The Hot Van Gogh workshop, an art class during which participants will create still life in primary colors. Students will use a wall of hot colors, complemented by an intense Van Gogh print, using paint, collage or mixed media. Workshop (WKS 033-C1), to be led by artist Arthur Yanoff, will be held on Tuesdays through May 16. The cost is $240; register here.
