CHP/Berkshire South WIC invite all expecting and new parents to a free Community Baby Shower at 442 Stockbridge Road. The first 10 women who attend will win a gift card for a free manicure. There will be free workshops on prenatal bonding, breastfeeding and returning to work, baby boxes and more. In addition to educational activities, there will be informational resources from local providers in the community to support new mothers and their families. There will also be several give-a-ways.

We will focus on Mood Disorders and PTSD. Participants will be able to define transference (clients’ feelings/reactions) and countertransference (therapists’ feeling's/reactions) and understand these roles within the therapeutic relationship and their impact on the medical interpreter, therapist and client. Be able to understand the various diagnoses classified under Mood Disorders, as well as symptoms characteristic of each disorder, understand the definition of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and have the ability to define interpersonal trauma and its implications for attachment, affect regulation and the development of interpreters.
