Ralph L. Carsno Sr., 71
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ralph Leo Carsno Sr., 71, of Zachary, La., and a native of North Adams, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Born in 1938, son of Harold and Florence Duverney Carsno, he attended local schools.
A carpenter, Mr. Carsno operated the former HL Carsno & Son Home Builders Co. in North Adams and in Shelburne, Vt.
He was a Navy veteran. He also was a deacon and usher at Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, La.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, the former Linda Krape; three sons, Ralph Leo Carsno Jr., Darryl Kenneth Smith Carsno and his wife, Beth, and David Allen Carsno; two daughters, Carole Marie Perkins and Lisa Marie Thibault and her husband, Scott; three sisters, Elizabeth Jordan, Phyllis LaPine and Margaret MacDonald, all of North Adams; a brother, Edward Carsno of North Adams; nine grandchildren, Faith, Dawn, Brandon, Colin, Hailey, Amirah, Jordan, Matthew and Rachael; two
great-grandchildren, Iain and Jaxson, and a large extended family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his siblings Harold Carsno and Catherine Beliveau.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Carsno will be held Monday, Sept. 28, at 1:30 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
