ADAMS, Mass. — The Adams Free Library will host Boston Museum of Science's traveling program "Engineering: Windmill Workshop" on Friday, July 16. The traveling programs aims to  connect children to science and technology, right in our own community.

The workshop will be held as part of the library's "Go Green at the Adams Free Library Summer Reading Program." Attendees will be challenged to plan, design and test their blades as they explore the engineering design process of a windmill blade.

This program was made possible by a grant from the Museum of Science Traveling Programs. Note: The program is for ages 7 and older; children ages 7 to 10 must have adult assistance, and the library requests that people sign up in pairs if possible.

Although the program is free, registration is required; call 413-743-8345 or stop by the library, 92 Park St., to sign up.

"Go Green at Your Library" is provided by the Adams Free Library, the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
