Ernest P. Superneau Jr., 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ernest Phillips Superneau Jr., 79, of North Adams died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Hillcrest Commons.
He was born in North Adams on January 19, 1937, son of Ernest P. and Luella (Darling) Superneau. He attended local schools.
Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was last employed as a security guard at the Clark Art Institute for 18 years until his retirement. Before that, he worked at General Cable for about 20 years. Ernest also operated several businesses in Adams.
He was a member of Reigning Love Church in Pittsfield. He enjoyed golfing and playing pool.
Survivors include his wife, Carole A. (Lambert) Superneau, whom he married on December 6, 2003; one daughter, Deborah Gardzina of North Adams; one son, Bryan D. Superneau of Savoy; five grandchildren, Brian, Katie, Joshua, Matthew and Ashley; six great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; several step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A son, Scott Mille died in 2015; and one brother and one sister are deceased, Lucille Collette and Kenneth Superneau..
Funeral notice: The funeral for Kenneth Superneau will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
