Michael R. Vincent, 67

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Michael Raymond Vincent, 67, of Pittsfield died peacefully Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center. 

He was born in Pittsfield on January 6, 1950, the son of the late Merton and Virginia (Perry) Vincent. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1967. Mike worked for 25 years at General Electric (Bushings). Subsequently, he worked for Lockheed Martin and PolyMatrix prior to becoming a driver for BCAC, where his clients enjoyed his scenic rural road shortcuts.

He was a communicant of St. Charles Church and served six years in the US Army Reserves. Vacationing in Maine since childhood, he enjoyed his annual trips to York Beach and Nubble Light with his family. Mike loved going to Las Vegas with his wife and friends. For many years he bowled at Kens and golfed at Pontoosuc. Mike was a fan of stock car racing, regularly traveling to Lebanon Valley and NASCAR races. A member of the Polish Falcons Club, he was also a devoted fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Carole F. Anderson, whom he married on September 19, 1970. In addition to Carole, he is survived by three sons, Shaun of Williamstown, Kevin (Allison) of Pittsfield and Daniel of Chelmsford; his daughter, Kellie Lynch (Patrick) of Dalton; his two grandchildren, Kaylyn Marie and Garrett Michael, who were the light of his life; his brother, Dr. William Vincent (Frances) of Granby, Conn.; and loving in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and two cats who miss him dearly.

The family would like to thank the BMC Nursing Staff of 5 West for their kind and compassionate care. They would also like to thank their extended family, friends, neighbors and coworkers for their extraordinary support.

Funeral notice: Calling hours for Michael Vincent, who died February 11, 2017, will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Devanny Condron Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor, officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Gifts of Gratitude at Baystate Health Foundation c/o the funeral home.
