Agnes C. Alibozek, 85
ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Agnes C. (Bednarczyk) Alibozek, 85, of Adams died Wednesday morning, February 15, 2017, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in Pittsfield on September 19, 1931, daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes (Gerwoski) Bednarczyk. She attended schools in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Alibozek last worked as the head cook for her son's former business, Stefan's Polish Deli in Adams, until retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed cooking, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband, Frederick A. Alibozek, whom she married on January 14, 1950, died on November 23, 1993.
She is survived by two sons, Frederick A. Alibozek Jr. and his wife Zelda of Peterborough, N.H., and Stephen F. Alibozek and his companion Gail Cary of Adams; a brother, Robert Bednarczyk, of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, including Nicole Alibozek, Matthew Alibozek, Jesse Alibozek and his wife, Gail, Andrew Alibozek, Amelia Alibozek and Wanda Seavey and her husband, Rick; four great-grandchildren, including Selena Dominguez, Mason Lillie, Jesse Alibozek II and Zelda Seavey; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Bednarczyk.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
