Marion J. Dobbert, 77
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marion Joan (Zwiercan) Dobbert, 77, of North Adams, Mass., died Friday April 21, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on February 5, 1940, daughter of Walter and Joan Zwiercan. She attended local schools and graduated from the St. Joseph's High School with the class of 1957.
Marion was primarily a homemaker and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great=grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Marion enjoyed maintaining flower and vegetable gardens.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Wiles of Agawam, Mass., and Mary-Lynn Toomey and Melissa Groves, both of North Adams; seven grandchildren, Courtney-Joan Brosnihan, Brianna Groves, Jacob Groves, Katlyn Toomey, Dylan Toomey, Marc Barcomb and Joshua Barcomb; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Mackayla; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Stephen Zwiercan, who died on February 5, 2017.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marion Dobbert will be celebrated Thursday April 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be at a later date in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
