Pearl M. (Brown) Little, 87

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Pearl M. (Brown) Little of Brooklyn Street, North Adams, died May 26, 2017, at the Sweetbrook Health Care Center after a brief illness, with her family by her side.

She was born in North Adams on September 12, 1929, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Coons) Brown. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.

Mrs. Little for many years was a homemaker and later employed by Molly's Bakery as their cake decorator. She was known for her creativity and her ability to create one of a kind decorated cakes. Her talents also involved painting decorative ceramics with various ceramic studios in the area. Her passion for knitting created everything from hats, sweaters to doll clothes. She also learned the art of crewel embroidery and produced many beautiful pieces. As member of the Red Hat Society she served as president for many years.

Pearl was a communicant of the former St. Francis Church in North Adams. It was there that she married the love of her life, Ralph J. Little. They had celebrated 50 years together. Mr. Little had passed away December 13, 2002.

She took great pride in her family. She leaves one daughter, Suzanne Stefanik and her husband Thomas of Adams; two sons, Bruce Little and his wife Debbie and Michael Little, all of North Adams; four grandchildren, Scott Little and his wife Julie of Adams, Katie (Little) O'Neill and her husband Chad of North Adams, Dr. Michael Stefanik and his wife Dr. Maggie Gill of Naperville, Ill., and Christopher Stefanik of Singapore; two great-grandchildren, Abbey Little and Marley O'Neill; three sisters, Helen Haley of North Adams, Eleanor Cookis of Bennington, Vt., and Georgene Brown of Adams; and also several nieces and cousins.
