Phyllis Roulier, 89
ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Phyllis D. (St. Cyr) Roulier, 89, of Adams, Mass., died Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams on November 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Emery and Ruth (Brown) St. Cyr, and attended North Adams schools. Phyllis last worked in the sewing department at the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams for several years.
Earlier, she and her late husband had operated the Corner Lunch, and the former Berkshire News in Adams. Following her retirement she had lived in Florida for several years before returning to Adams.
She was a member of the Gold Star Mothers.
Phyllis enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, and playing cards with her family.
Her husband, Rene R. Roulier, died on August 6, 1976.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Haddad and her husband, George, of Adams; a brother, Emery St. Cyr of Roanoke, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Sybil LaFountain of San Mateo, Fla.; nine grandchildren, including Colleen Byrd, Terry Santoro, Tonia Eslami, Jamie Delsoin, Amber Haddad, Jordan Haddad, Joseph Koscinski Jr., Trevor Koscinski and Rene Koscinski; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Cpl. Russell R. Roulier of the US Marine Corps, who died in combat in Vietnam on June 21, 1967; a daughter, Cynthia Koscinski, who died on Oct. 14, 1999; and by a granddaughter, Jennifer Koscinski in 1970.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
