Genevieve B. Singer, 90

ADAMS, Mass. — Genevieve B. Singer, 90, of 8 Pinnacle Lane passed away Friday morning, October 6, 2017, at her home.

Born in Adams on April 4, 1927, daughter of the late William and Orea Jarvis Mignault, she attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame Elementary School. She worked at the family farm in Cheshire most of her life. She also worked at Sweet Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown for a short period, and was also a homemaker.

She was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. Genevieve enjoyed her pets and animals, gardening, crocheting, knitting, horses and wagon rides, and family gatherings. She also enjoyed the state of Maine and deep sea fishing.

Her husband George Singer, whom she married on April 26, 1947, died March 24, 1996.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Singer of Adams and John and David Singer, both of North Adams; three daughters, Linda Kupiec of Adams, Donna St. John and her husband Richard of Granville, N.Y., and Irene Morrison and her husband Wallace of Peru, Mass.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Cross and Rita Hill; and a brother, George Mignault.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian burial for Genevieve will take place Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at noon in Notre Dame Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Steven G. Montesanti, Pastor, burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.

Calling hours at the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220 will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations in her memory can be made to the Adams Ambulance or Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
