Carol (Anderson) Begin, 79

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Carol (Anderson) Begin, 79, passed away on November 18, 2017, after a long battle with lung cancer. 

She was born on February 5, 1938, in Chester, Mass., and moved to North Adams, Mass., as a child with her parents, Charles and Martha Anderson. During her life, she travelled to and resided in several other states, but returned to North Adams for her retirement years.

Carol had several occupations over the years, including bank teller, dental hygienist and legal assistant handling real estate closings. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, knitting and crocheting. She made beautiful clothing for herself, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as doilies, afghans' tablecloths and even doll clothing.

Carol is predeceased by her mother, Martha (Murphy) Anderson, her father, Charles Anderson and her sister, Elizabeth (Anderson) Barcomb.

Carol is survived by her children, Lawrence LeSage of Glenmont, N.Y., Michael LeSage of Adams, Mass., Andrea (LeSage) Wimpenny of Clarksburg, Mass., and Karen LeSage of East Hartford, Conn. Carol is also survived by her sister, Margaret (Anderson) Dickinson of Daytona Beach, Fla., and her brother, John Anderson of Adams, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol has seven grandchildren, Diana (LeSage) Tucker of Clifton Park, N.Y., Ethan LeSage of Troy, N.Y., Jordan LeSage of Adams, Mass., Lindsey LeSage of Pittsfield, Mass., Shylow St. Germain of Pittsfield, Jennifer St. Germain of North Adams and Zoe Foster of East Hartford, Conn.

Carol has five great grandchildren, Brian Whitney of Florida, Mass., Jaivin Rivera of North Adams, Alizaya Vasquez of North Adams, and Madeline and Elliana Tucker of Clifton Park, N.Y.
