Yvonne ‘Tiny’ McHaffie, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Yvonne "Tiny" (Babeu) McHaffie of North Adams died on January 3, 2018, at Williamstown Commons. 

She was born in North Adams on April 3, 1933, a daughter of the late Ferdina and  Yvonne (Babeu) Babeu. She graduated from Notre Dame School and was employed at Sprague Electric for 42 years last in the research center. She loved traveling. 

Yvonne is predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” Whitehill McHaffie; they were married in August 1971. He died on June 22, 2013. Yvonne leaves her three children, Bonnie Lee Pitroff of Adams, Laurie Ann Knights of North Adams, and James Allen Knights and his wife Christine of Hudson, Mass..  She also leaves six grandchildren including, Kristen Pitroff, Gina & Lauren Lopez, Brendon, Cameron, and Kara Knights. She also leaves two nieces, Charlene and Donna. She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Mooney. 

Funeral notice: Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 5 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli- Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday. 

Burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
