Leo A. Benoit III, 59

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Leo Arthur Benoit III, 59, of North Adams, Mass., died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 30, 1958, son of Martha Ruth (Tankersley) Benoit and the late Leo Arthur Benoit Jr. He attended North Adams schools, including Drury High School.

Leo was last employed at NSK Steering in Bennington, Vt. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed playing pool and softball.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Ruth (Tankersley) Benoit of Adams; one daughter, Shannon Lynn Dozier of Adams; two sons, Leo Arthur Benoit IV of North Adams and Jason Robert Benoit of Adams; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Tifft of Clarksburg and Christel Massaconi of Cheshire; two brothers, Randall Benoit of North Adams and Kenneth Benoit of Clarksburg; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: Service and burial for Leo Benoit III will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
