Joyce Perras, 76

ADAMS, Mass. — Joyce Knickerbocker Perras, 76, of 75 Commercial St. passed away Sunday morning, June 17, 2018, at her home. 

Born in Adams on November 12, 1941, daughter of the late George and Eileen Maynard Leeming, she was a graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. She was employed for a short time for the ALDCO Co. in Adams before becoming a CNA. Joyce then became employed for many years for Williamstown Commons, from where she retired. 

She also spent time at the Adult Day Health Center in North Adams, where she made many friends, and also at the Millhouses in Adams. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with her family. 

Her first husband, Allan Knickerbocker, and her second husband, Charles Perras, are deceased. 

She is survived by a son, Bruce Knickerbocker of North Caroline; three daughters, Laura Knickerbocker, her caregiver, of Adams, Mary Mansfield of North Carolina and Nicole Brazeau of North Adams; a stepdaughter, Lynda O’Neil of North Adams; a sister, Cynthia Dufraine and her husband Lawrence of New Hampshire; a granddaughter and her caretaker, Emily Knickerbocker; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a niece, Kathleen; and nephews Larry and Tommy Dufraine. 

She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Pointalot. 

Funeral notice: A grave side service and burial for Joyce will take place in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. There are no calling hours.
