Francis H. Bushee, 66

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Francis Henry "Fran" Bushee, 66, of North Adams, Mass., passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, at his home.

He was born in North Adams, Mass., on May 27, 1952, son of Jesse L. Bushee Sr. and Verna M. (LaFrance) Bushee. He attended local schools. Fran was employed by Dominion Power for over 30 years until his retirement.  

He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan. Fran enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with his granddaughters and helping family and friends when he could.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Alta A. (Kowalski) Bushee, whom he married on October 14, 1972; his daughter, Rebecca Marsh and her husband Matthew; his two granddaughters, Kennedy and Raegan of Barrington, Ill.; his son, Mark Bushee of Cheshire; one sister, Lorraine Choquette and her husband, Peter, of Clarksburg; two brothers, David Bushee and his wife, Marcia, and James Bushee, both of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.   

He was predeceased by two sisters-, Linda Lavanway and Laurie Bushee; and two brothers, Jesse "Butch" Bushee Jr. and Maurice "Cricket" Bushee.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Fran Bushee will be Monday, July 23, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will be private.  

Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to PopCares in care of the funeral home.
