Lynn M. Gancarz, 68

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Lynn M. (Lavendol) Gancarz, 68, of Adams, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in North Adams on October 23, 1955, a daughter of the late Leonard and Lois (Whitehead) Lavendol. She graduated from the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Lynn last worked as a payroll clerk for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District until her retirement. Earlier she had worked for the Pittsfield Public Schools and the former North Adams Regional Hospital.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams.

Her husband of 45 years, Frederick Peter Gancarz, whom she married on August 25, 1978 died on September 14, 2023.

She is survived by her daughter Heather Gancarz of Pittsfield; her son Joshua Gancarz and his fiancé Kiersten Hunt of Lanesboro; her grandson Jackson Molleur of Pittsfield; a sister-in-law Linda Tassone and her husband Wayne of Adams and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Karen Martin.

The funeral will be held on Monday, March 18th at 6:00 P.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will be at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service in the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. Worked with Lynn in accounting at NARH for many years. I was lucky to have Lynn as a co worker. She made working there a pleasure. I will always have fond memories of Lynn.
