Hazel T. Crosby, 92

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Hazel T. (Marshall) Crosby, 92, of Adams, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in Bronx, New York on January 21, 1932, a daughter of the late James and Eva (Wood) Marshall. She attended schools in New York and Massachusetts.

Mrs. Crosby was primarily a homemaker but had worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, Vermont Hardwoods in Readsboro and General Cable in Pownal.

She was a longtime member of the former St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Adams.

Her husband, John H. Crosby, whom she married on December 19, 1952, died on November 16, 2001.

She is survived by her son Guy Crosby and his wife Susan Foster of Adams; one grandson, John Crosby and his wife Kimberly of Pittsfield; one step grandson Josh Nye and his wife Arlynn of Adams; one great grandson Carter Crosby and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Leonard Marshall; her step brother Fred Cornwell and by a step sister Ellen Beverly Igoe.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.
