Henry G. Brazeau Sr., 73

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Henry G. "Hank" Brazeau Sr., 73, of 173 Chantilly Ave. died Monday, March 11, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Pittsfield on March 27, 1939, a son of Joseph J. Brazeau and Gertrude A. Duclos Brazeau Danylieko, he graduated from Pittsfield High School. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Brazeau was employed for many years for by the former Berkshire Cable Co. and more recently was a self-employed general contractor. In his younger years, he was a professional wrestler known as "Hammer Hank." He was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick & Raphael in Williamstown. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club and was known for his generosity and helping people in need. His wife, the former Martha Reynolds, whom he married Jan. 4, 1964, died July 31, 1999. He leaves two daughters, Barbara Batulis of Colorado and Martha Slovak of South Carolina; a son, Henry G. Brazeau Jr. of North Adams; his companion, Helen Arndt of North Adams; a sister, Rosemary Brazeau of North Adams, and 10 grandchildren, Alisha, Fawn, Shayla, Allan, Michael, Thomas, Jacqueline, Brandi, Christopher and Ryan. His siblings Alfred and Joseph Brazeau and Gertrude Smith predeceased him. FUNERAL NOTICE â€' Funeral services for Mr. Brazeau will take place Friday, March 15, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the Shriners Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
