Dorothy H. Farinon, 87
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Dorothy Hazel Farinon, 87, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on April 10, 1925, a daughter of Giovanni and Olga Cellana Martinelli, she attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School.
Mrs. Farinon was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 43 years until her retirement in 1986.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She also was a longtime member Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Margaret 296 and was also a member of the Sons of Italy.
She and her husband, Raymond J. Farinon, were married on April 27, 1946, in St. Francis' Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Cynthia Horrigan and her husband, John, of Dalton; two sisters, Catherine Talarico of North Adams and Sandra Reissour of Springfield; two grandchildren, Tracy Miller and her husband, Andrew, of Barnstable and Brad Horrigan of New York City; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Kiara Miller of Barnstable, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant sister.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Farinon will be on Monday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
