Anne Marie Williams, 63
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anne Marie Williams, 63, of 51 Murray Ave. died Saturday, April 20, 2013.
Born in North Adams on June 13, 1949, daughter of Leo P. and Roma B. Lemire Godbout, she attended North Adams schools and was a 1967 graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Williams was employed in several banking institutions after graduation, retiring from Legacy Bank in 2008.
She was an active member of Berkshire County Line Dancers and participated in local Zumba fundraisers and classes. She was an active communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish and enjoyed wintering in Florida, spending time at her summer homes in North Adams and Lake Ontario, N.Y. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a woman of great faith.
She leaves her loving husband of 33 years, Kenneth L. Williams; a daughter, Terri Lynn Rougeau Frank and her husband, Sean, of Savoy; two stepsons, Kenneth Williams Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Dalton and Craig Williams of Adams; two sisters, Janice M. Powers of Adams and Mary Ellen Eliasen of North Adams; nine grandchildren, Mackenzi, Maxwell and Madison Mitchell of Savoy, Desiree, Zachary, Brian and Tyler Williams of Dalton and Jackson and Austin Williams of North Carolina; five stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandson; two sisters-in-law, Jane Raymo and her husband, Bartley, of Wilmington, Vt., and Isabel Bosley and her husband, Robert, of Readsboro, Vt.; two aunts, Theresa DeMasi of Bennington, Vt., and Lillian Godbout of North Adams, and cousins and numerous close friends.
She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Maxine Williams Lavoy.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Williams, who joined her loved ones in paradise for eternal peace, will be on Thursday, April 25, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 24, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home are Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, make donations to St. Mary's Church, St. Elizabeth Church or the American Cancer Relay For Life.
