READSBORO, Vt. - Elide "Alice" Dassatti, 91, 74 Canal Drive died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital. S
Born in Readsboro on Nov. 7, 1921, a daughter of Rodolfo and Enrica Cristofolini Comai, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Dassatti was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and lastly by the former Vermont Hardwoods.
She was a longtime active communicant of St. Joachim’s Church.
Her husband, Arthur James Dassatti, whom she married May 17, 1947, in St. Joachim's Church, died Dec. 23, 2009.
She leaves a son, James A. Dassatti of Readsboro; her former daughter-in-law, Kathleen O'Brien Dassatti; a grandson, Stephen James Dassatti and his wife, Jennifer, of Yakima, Wash., and two great-grandchildren, Helaina and Gabriel James Dassatti.
She was predeceased by her four brothers Gino, Randolph, Rizieri and Eligio Comai and two sisters Gemma Burdick and Avelina King.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dassatti will take place Friday, May 10, at 11 from St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, May 9, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Joachim's Church through the funeral home.
