Emma Mutart Jobin, 98

STAMFORD, Vt. - Emma Hazel Mutart Jobin, 98, of 102 Clough Road and Seminole, Fla., died Thursday, May 9, 2013. Born in North Adams on Oct. 4, 1914, daughter of Joseph Louis and Evelina LeClaire Mossolani, she graduated from Drury High School and attended the former Bliss Business College. Mrs. Jobin worked at the former Gale Shoe Co. and the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years, retiring as a purchasing agent in February 1977. She served as a director and recording secretary of the former Sprague Electric Credit Union. She was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century and Management clubs, Stamford Seniors, the Pinellas Seminole Women's Club and the Seminole BB's. She was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church and was very active in many church activities. She enjoyed life, every golden minute of it and was very well-liked by everyone. She enjoyed plays, travel, family get-togethers and especially spending time with her grandsons, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Her hobby was quilting and she hand-stitched five outstanding quilts for which she received prizes for her superior work. Her husband, Emile J. Jobin, died on July 18, 1995. She leaves her daughter, Lois J. Betti of North Adams; a son, Alan L. Mutart and his wife, Barbara, of North Adams; two sisters, Evelyn Gooch and Ruth Graziola, both of North Adams; six grandsons and a granddaughter, Jeffrey Betti and his wife, Carol, of Williamstown; Gregory Betti and his wife, Jacquie, and their sons Daniel and Ross of North Adams; Dr. James Betti and his wife, Patti, and their son Evan of Rye, N.H.; David Betti and his wife, Mary Beth, and their children Brian, Mark and Patrick of Mundelein, Ill; Catherine Betti Baldessarini and her husband, Craig, of North Adams and her son, Christopher Peters of Denver, Colo.; Alan Mutart and his wife, Amy, of East Nassau, N.Y.; and Michael Mutart and his wife, Johanna, and their children Isabela and Katerina of Enfield, Conn., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her great-granddaughter Anna Sofia Mutart on Jan. 12, 2011, and her brother, Daniel Mossolani. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Jobin will be Tuesday, May 14, at 10:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours will be Monday, May 13, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA & Hospice of North Berkshire in care of the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Emma's passing. Her and my late grandmother Emma Archambault were very close.
