Jerome F. Bourdon, 88
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Jerome Francis Bourdon, 88, of 426 East Main St. died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 27, 1924, son of Henry E. and Eleanor Discoe Bourdon, he attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater fighting on Luzon and in New Guinea. Among his decorations, he was awarded the Purple Heart; the Distinguished Unit Badge, and the Asiatic-Pacific Medal with Bronze Service Arrowhead.
Mr. Bourdon was last employed by Morrison Berkshire for many years until his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. He was a former Boy Scout leader and enjoyed bowling.
He leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters: Constance Bourdon, Elaine Fortin, and Norman, Raymond, Clifford and Richard Bourdon.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Bourdon will be Friday, June 7, at 9 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 6, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home are Thursday.
