Marshall A. Crosier, 80
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marshall A. "Bud" Crosier, 80, of 81 George Ave. died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Brockton on April 25, 1933, a son of Frederick and Viola May Favreau Crosier, he came to North Adams with his family as a child and graduated from Notre Dame Grammar School and from Drury High School.
He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Crosier was employed for 40 years as a machinist and later as a foreman at the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, retiring in 1992.
An accomplished bowler, he bowled two perfect 300 games and coached the Greylock Bowl Youth League on Saturday mornings. He volunteered at the former Monroe State Prison Camp and was an active communicant of the former Notre Dame Church, where he taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and was a founding member of the Adult Society.
He and his wife, the former Joan H. Kelly, were married in April 1953 in the former St. Francis' Church.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves a daughter, Colleen "Midge" Fogarty and her husband, Daniel, of the town of Florida; a son, Michael A. Crosier and his wife, Debbie, of Newberry, S.C.; a brother, Neal Crosier of North Adams; a sister, Joan Lesure of North Adams; three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Frank, Brandi Crosier and Shaun Crosier, and two greatgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Anne Crosier on March 8, 2006.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Crosier will take place, Saturday, June 29, at 11:30 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 28, from 4 to 7 the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Commission on Disabilities through the funeral home.
