Eleanor Willey, 87
READSBORO, Vt. — Eleanor Willey, 87, of 1450 King Hill Road died Wednesday Aug. 7, 2013, at her home.
Born in Newport, N.H., on June 28, 1926, daughter of Marshall and Carol Hooper Olds, she attended schools in Lempster and graduated from Towle High School in Newport.
Mrs. Willey had been employed by Westinghouse Electric Co. and also worked as a librarian for the town of Monroe.
She was a member of Readsboro Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and driving fast. She was an animal lover.
Her husband, Edward A. Willey, whom she married on Oct. 17, 1959, died on May 27, 2006.
She leaves several nieces and nephews and her friend, Marcia Evans, with whom she made her home.
She was predeceased by her siblings Carolyn Kennedy, Margaret Williams and Malcolm and Robert Olds.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Mrs. Willey will be at a later date and burial will be private.
