Verda May Senecal, 62

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Verda May Senecal, 62, of 150 Ashland St. died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on Oct. 11, 1950, daughter of Arthur and Marceline Lowry Gilman, she attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from McCann Technical School with the class of 1968. She lived in Arkansas, Missouri and Delaware until returning to North Adams in 1988. Mrs. Senecal was employed as a school bus driver by Dufour Bus Tours, and earlier by J.T. Bus Lines, from 1993 until her retirement. She had worked for Central Radio before that. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. She was a former member of the Tunnel City Remote Control Flying Club enjoyed flying model airplanes, woodworking and quilting. Her husband, William R. Senecal, whom she married on Oct. 12, 1996, died on Feb. 26, 2003. She leaves a son, James Allen Smith of North Adams, and three grandchildren Nicholas Senay, James D. Smith and Jillian Smith. FUNERAL NOTICE - A graveside service for Mrs. Senecal will be held Friday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements under direction of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.
