Marie Wheaton-Geno, 82
STAMFORD, Vt. — Marie Wheaton-Geno, 82, of 263 Clough Road died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown, Mass.
Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on July 14, 1931, a daughter of Charles and Anna Johannsen Darbey, she attended grammar school in Hoosick Falls and the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams, Mass., graduating in 1949. She later studied business at North Adams State Teachers College and became an accountant.
Mrs. Wheaton-Geno spent many years working as an accountant with the Harry Patten Property Group. After retiring, she became director of MS Resource for the Tri-State Area, a regional advocacy group providing support and resources for persons with multiple sclerosis. She had been involved in nursing early in her career.
Her first and second husbands, Henry Lescarbeau and Kendall Wheaton, are deceased.
Her husband, Everett Geno, whom she married March 10, 1992, died Feb. 29, 2004.
She leaves her son, Richard Lescarbeau of Williamstown, and her daughter, Edith Wheaton of North Adams.
