Isabelle Corbosiero, 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Isabelle Mary Corbosiero, 89, of 107 Liberty St. died Friday, March 7, 2014, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Hancock on Oct. 29, 1924, daughter of Emerald and Alice Vickery Jones, she attended Hancock School and held the distinction of being the top student in the eighth grade. It was later discovered she was the only student in her eighth-grade class. She also attended Lebanon (N.Y.) High School.

Mrs. Corbosiero retired from the former Sprague Electric Co. after 43 years of service. After retirement, she worked part time at the Laundry Club.

Her husband, Joseph Corbosiero, whom she married on April 26, 1947, died April 8, 1996.

She leaves two daughters, Sandra Gilly of North Adams and Rose Mary Walker and her husband, William, of Winterville, N.C.; two sons, Joseph Corbosiero and his partner, Shirlee Sullivan, of Whitingham, Vt., and Paul Corbosiero and his fiancée, Cheryl Gilbert, of Pittsfield; a sister, Eva Freely of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Scott Corbosiero, Duane Walker, Lisa Bolus, Michael Corbosiero, Amy and Michael St. Andre, Adam Sullivan, Paul and Terri Gilly, Jonathan Corbosiero, Haleigh Corbosiero, and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Richard, George and Jerry Jones.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral Services for Mrs. Corbosiero will take place Tuesday morning, March 11, at 9 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 10, from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for HospiceCare of the Berkshires through the funeral home.
