Patricia M. Groves, 58

POWNAL, Vt. — Patricia M. Groves, 58, of Swallow Hill Road died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Adams on May 19, 1955, a daughter of Arthur "Jim" and Joan Gallese Anton, she graduated from Drury High School in 1973 and later from Berkshire Community College. Mrs. Anton was employed from 1979 to 2004 as the fleet coordinator for transportation at Williams College retiring after suffering cardiac arrest at work. A co-founder of the Williams College Ladies B&G Golf League, she was an active member and player in the North Adams Softball league and also coached her daughter's softball teams. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She and her husband, William Groves, were married July 11, 1975, in North Adams. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Amie Moscaritolo and her husband, David, of Everett and Kelly Groves of North Adams; two sisters, Colleen Alicea and Lori Emerson and her husband, Roger, all of North Adams; three grandchildren, David and Ava Moscaritolo and Craig Field; her father-in-law, Robert Groves of North Adams; her mother-in-law, Phyllis King of Adams; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Groves of Watervliet, N.Y., and Karen Belanger and her husband, Michael, of Lanesborough, and niece and nephew Amy Alicea and Kevin Alicea and a grandnephew, Maxwell Alicea. She also leaves many close and supportive friends. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Groves will be held Sunday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Chapel at Williams College. Burial will take place later in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours will be Sunday from noon to 3 at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the American Heart Association through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
