Rose Marion Boni, 87

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Rose Marion Boni, 87, of 149 Glen Ave. died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Springside of Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on Jan. 30, 1927, daughter of Cesare V. and Emma Petri Boni, she attended the the former Sarah T. Haskins School and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1945. Miss Boni was employed by the former Vogue and Vanity Women's Apparel Store in Williamstown for more than 30 years. When it closed, she joined Elise Farrar Women's Apparel in Lenox until retiring 10 years later. She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she was a member of its Rosary Society and volunteered at its annual bazaar. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends, known affectionately as "the Girls." She was devoted to her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a Boston Red Sox fan. She leaves her sister, Marion Owen; two brothers, Rudolph Boni of North Adams and Joseph Boni and his wife, Beverly, of Williamstown, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. Her brothers Cesare Boni and Richard Boni are deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Miss Boni will be Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 10 until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
