Rose Emma Delisle, 77

May 27, 2014

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Rose Emma Delisle, 77, of 16 Wall St. died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.

Born in North Adams on May 8, 1937, daughter of Arthur F. and Clara M. Lively Cardinal, she attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School.

Mrs. Delisle was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co., and later the former Commonwealth Sprague Capacitors, for a total of 46 years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church.

Her husband, Francis H. Delisle, whom she married on April 22, 1960, died on Jan. 14, 2003.

She leaves two sons, Robert C. Delisle and his wife, Sally Levenson Delisle, of Danvers and Edward F. Delisle and his wife, Karen, of Miami; a sister, Mary L. Guest of North Adams; a brother, Norman J. Cardinal of Largo, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Delisle, David Delisle and his wife, Catherine, and Eric Delisle; two great-grandchildren, Emma and James; nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Lil' Guy.

Her three sisters Laura Cardinal, Irene Castonguay and Elizabeth Menard and brothers Charles Cardinal and Francis Cardinal, predeceased her.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Delisle will be celebrated Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.

RIP Aunt Rose. To a life well lived. Thank you Bob and Sally, and the rest of the Delisle family, for sharing your memories and being such an important part of her life. She was lucky to have you.
