NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Alice M. Lunney, 92, of 14 Chesbro Ave. died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in South Lawrence on Dec. 5, 1921, a daughter of Edward Joseph and Ann B. Carragher Lunney, she graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
Miss Lunney was employed for many years at the Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1983.
She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and later St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
She leaves her nephew, John Ternan and his wife, Claire, of Nashua, N.H.; a grandniece, Laurua Casanova of Chile, and a grandnephew, Christopher Ternan of Brookline, and several great-grandnieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Rita Ternan on Feb. 16, 1975, and Edna Lunney on Nov. 16, 1997, and her brothers Edward Lunney on July 8, 1988, and Monsignor J. Albert Lunney on March 16, 2001.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Lunney will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 7, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
