Cecilia S. Dupuis, 93
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Cecilia Suzan Dupuis, 93, of 73 Furnace St. died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 15, 1920, a daughter of the Adriano and Francesca Pieri Rinaldi, she graduated from Drury High School in 1940.
Mrs. Dupuis was employed for 15 years at the former North Adams Regional Hospital, retiring in 1979. She had earlier worked at the former J.J. Newberry and Boston stores on Main Street.
She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she was a member of the Rosary and Christian Mothers societies. She also was a member of Sons of Italy Lodge.
Her husband, Lawrence S. Dupuis, whom she married Nov. 14, 1942, in St. Anthony's Church died July 4, 2002.
She leaves her son, Lawrence S. Dupuis Jr. and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Pownal Vt.; a brother, Anthony Rinaldi of East Hartford, Conn.; three grandchildren, Christopher Dupuis and his wife, Joanne, of Newbury, Vt., Tina Marie Dupuis and her fiance, John Russell, of Pownal, Vt., and Angelica Lynn Mahoney and her husband, Eric, of Tucson, Ariz.; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Josephine, Matthew, Alexah and Jakob, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Frances Bissaillon, Laura Carmel, Lucy Rinaldi and Anna Rinaldi, in infancy.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at Sts Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the St. Patrick's Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
