Loyola M. Fitzpatrick, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Loyola M. Fitzpatrick, 91, formerly of North Adams, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at the Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Elmira, N.Y., on May 31, 1923, a daughter of Michael Henry and Mary Agnes Keating Fitzpatrick, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph High School with the class of 1942. Miss Fitzpatrick was employed for many years as an account manager and later as the executive secretary to the late Fred Windover Sr. at the former Sprague Electric Co. She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. Affectionately known as "Aunty Ly," she enjoyed walking and swimming and was truly devoted to her faith. Her greatest joy was spending time and caring for her family. Her warm gentle spirit was felt by everyone who knew and loved her. She leaves her niece, Cynthia Scott and her husband, Norman, of Pittsfield, by whom she will be lovingly missed; a sister, Arlene Radidoux; her grandnephews, Robert Scott and his wife, Sheila, and their son, Cade, and Timothy Scott and his daughter, Avery, whom Miss Fitzpatrick adored and who filled her life with so much joy; a brother-in-law, Ernest LaGess, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Clara LaGess and two brothers, George Fitzpatrick and Michael Fitzpatrick. FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Miss Fitzpatrick will take place Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. A calling hour will be held Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Jude Children's Hospital through the funeral home. Miss Fitzpatrick's family would like to express their love and thanks to the devoted staff at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility who loved her like she was their own.
