It is autumn in our lives
And the hues shine less brightly;
The days grow shorter as time ticks away.
The leaves fall one by one, both small and large
And the wind stings more sharply now.

Ripples in the fabric of life
Occur often, almost nightly;
Each leaving a permanent mark on aging souls.
They are creating a memory to last forever.
And those thoughts recur more often now.

Friendship is to be cherished
Whether aged or sprightly;
Ours was strong my friend, strong as can be.
When the leaves have all fallen
We will meet again …and continue our journey.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Gancarz...I have only had the supreme privilege of befriending his only daughter, Brandi. And if she is any measure of his earthly contributions, he can rest in peace. He done good. Love you, BG.
