Annette C. Leveque, 83

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Annette C. Leveque, 83, of 191 Ashland St. died Friday March 6, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born on May 10, 1931, in Cornwall, N.Y., a daughter of Joseph H. and Theresse Gunther Koonz, she attended schools at Chester and Goshen, N.Y., and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Leveque was employed for more than 20 years as an office manager for Visiting Nurse Association of North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a corporator of the former North Adams Regional Hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband, Richard Louis Leveque, were married on Oct. 23, 1954, in the former St. Francis' Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Catherine Leveque and Judith Warren, both of Falmouth; four sons, William Leveque of Falmouth, Richard L. Leveque Jr. of Nashua, N.H., and Thomas Leveque and David Leveque, both of North Adams; two sisters, Joan Gazzaniga of Williamstown and Virginia Koonz of West Springfield, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Koonz and two brothers, the Rev. John A. Koonz and Joseph H. Koonz. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Mrs. Leveque will be held Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will take place in the spring. Calling hours will be Friday, March 13, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the Jimmy Fund or the St. Jude Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
