Elaine Morrow, 90

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elaine Morrow, 90, of Northampton, and a former longtime resident of North Adams, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst. Born in North Adams on May 11, 1925, daughter of Joseph and Mary Greenbush LeClair, she attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School in Adams and graduated from the Drury High School with the class of 1944. She also attended the former Bishop Memorial School of Nursing in Pittsfield. Mrs. Morrow was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 26 1/2 years until her retirement in 1985. Before that, she had worked at the former JJ Newberry's, Gaevert Film Co., North Adams Regional Hospital and North Adams Transcript. She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She enjoyed needlework, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, quilting and reading, music, cooking and baking. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed making holidays and celebrations special. Her house was always open to friends and family. Her husband, Preston Morrow, died on March 16, 1998, just after they celebrated 50 years of marriage. She leaves two daughters, Lisa Germanowski and her husband, David, of Northampton and Linda McKeon and her husband, Robert, of Pittsfield; a sister, Rachel Crowley of North Adams; three grandchildren Ryan McKeon, Brett McKeon and his wife, Rebecca, and their son, Brady and Michelle McKeon and her partner, Robert Spear, and their daughter, Amy, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Martin Morrow, in 1988, and Thomas Morrow, in 2003, and her daughter, Kathleen Morrow, in infancy. Her brother, John "Ed" LeClair, is also deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Morrow will be Tuesday, June 16, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, June 17, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Center For Extended Care at Amherst and Rockridge Retirement Community for their love and devoted care.

Elaine was such a sweet lovely lady. She, Preston and my parents ( Cora and Dick Bullett) were great friends! How I remember the card parties! She made me my favorite mayonnaise sandwiches when she babysat!! My condolences to her family!
