Sandra Lee Racette, 70
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Sandra Lee Racette, 70, of 185 Mohawk Forest Blvd., died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 18, 1944, daughter of Arthur and Mildred Carsno Racette, she graduated from Drury High School in 1964 and completed the licensed practical nursing program at McCann Technical School in 1967.
Ms. Racette was employed as an LPN in the state of Virginia and later in Westfield, where she was employed at Mercy Hospital. She returned to North Adams in 1998 following her retirement and worked at Big Y Supermarket.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and enjoyed bingo and artwork.
She leaves three brothers, John Racette and his wife, Theresa, and Donald Racette and his wife, Dorothy, all of North Adams, and Robert "Skip" Racette and his wife, Sandra, of Stuart, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Goman of Adams and Jean Bessette of Stafford Springs, Conn.; two sisters-in-law, Nelda Racette and Dorothy Racette; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Her siblings Shirley Clukey, Richard Racette, and Arthur "Flash" Racette are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Ms. Racette will be Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 to 11 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the North Adams Commons Activities Fund in care of the funeral home.
